the magic of being alive
can cast an enchanting spell,
for time will eventually tell
what the future will have in store
as well as the possibility for so much more,
and since the power of love can open doors,
have the willingness to see life itself
as a golden opportunity
to offer hope for all of humanity
while striving to become incredibly bold
while creating the greatest story ever told

Alex Andy Phuong earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from California State University—Los Angeles in 2015. He was a former Statement Magazine editor who currently writes about literature, film, and culture. He also earned an Associate of Arts in English from Pasadena City College in 2013, and tutored there.
