The possibility of potential harm
could be as deafening as a loud alarm,
but by arming oneself
with the knowledge and wisdom
that could hold the keys
to a newfound kingdom,
the idea of living with authenticity
could result in the acceptance
of the human identity,
and through the willingness to live
after deciding to forgive,
sharing a personal voice
would become a hopeful choice
as the calming feeling from nature
across the land and the sea
could create a way to appreciate
a day filled with tranquility,
and even with the challenges
that come from difficulty,
there would still be the opportunity
to become a better human being,
for a life that could be truly wonderful
can actually result from being careful

Alex Andy Phuong earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from California State University—Los Angeles in 2015.
