A musical melody that would promote harmony
Across the land and the sea
Could indelibly impact
The nature of reality,
And even serve as a source of inspiration
That could result in transformation,
And even if it might feel strange,
Having the willingness to change
Could help someone shine like the sun
Even after all has been said and done,
And perhaps even reveal as a way to heal
Through the acceptance of all that is real,
And dare to care as a way to soar like never before
No matter what the future will have in store
To ultimately create a life as beautiful as a song
While dancing through life all life long

Alex Andy Phuong earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from California State University—Los Angeles in 2015. He was a former Statement Magazine editor who currently writes about literature, film, and culture.
