The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston

Readers who loved The Dead Romantics will be thrilled to hear about Poston’s new book coming out on June 27, 2023. I am very intrigued by this romance story with a magical twist. If you are in the mood for a story of love and mystery, The Seven Year Slip may interest you! Film buffs may value this upcoming release’s reminiscence to the Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock film, The Lake House

The Housekeepers by Alex Hay

As a reader who loves historical fiction and mysteries, I am very excited for Alex Hay’s newest book, The Housekeepers. A heist story set against the backdrop of London, this book transports readers to the world of Upstairs-Downstairs society. According to HarperCollins Publishers, “The night of London’s grandest ball, a bold group of women downstairs launch a daring revenge heist against Mayfair society in this dazzling historical novel about power, gender, and class”. Canary Girls by Jennifer Chiaverini

This World War I novel tells the story of munitionettes – women who built bombs in Britain’s arsenals during the war. Canary Girls is an inside look at the world of danger as English women worked to support the war effort. A sisterhood of soccer and sadly, a mysterious illness that haunts the workers of the bomb building factories, further unites these women. Readers will learn a lot about the crucial role women played during the Great War and discover a story of camaraderie starting August 8, 2023.

The Brothers Hawthorne by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Young Adult Fiction | Mysteries & Detective Stories

After reading the final installment of The Inheritance Games trilogy last summer, I have been looking forward to Jennifer Lynn Barnes’ newest book in the world of the Hawthorne brothers and Avery Grambs. This new book, although not a fourth installment in the original trilogy, is a continued expansion of the mysteries and games first introduced to readers in The Inheritance Games. This latest novel by Barnes includes the POVs from two beloved characters – Grayson Hawthorne and Jameson Hawthorne. Get ready to piece together clues and solve mysteries starting August 29, 2023.

Which of the above books are you most looking forward to this summer?
