The Shadows of Winter

Dare to defy the norm

To weather through a winter storm,

And through the willpower to reform,

There would still be hope

As well as the possibility

To overcome adversity,

For the darkness within shadows

Symbolize the unknown,

But people could still earn

Both knowledge and wisdom

That would hold the keys

To a newfound kingdom,

So look around and see

With a sense of clarity,

For the coldness within reality

Coexists with warmth

As well as beauty,

So warm the heart

And soothe the soul

Through the willingness

To become truly whole,

And choose to care

To banish the dark of night

Without worrying about

Vanishing out of sight,

And ultimately become

A source of hopeful light
